Harvest Cafe - 55 View Street
The Oval is near some great Bendigo cafes. We recommend Harvest if you’re after a nice takeaway coffee or want to sit in and grab some breakfast or brunch.
Harvest is really quite special. As well as great coffee Harvest has AMAZING homemade croissants and other goodies.
Located on View Street, as you exit Oval Motel turn RIGHT and then take the first LEFT. Harvest is 800m on the other side of the road (6 min walk).
The Old Boundary Hotel - 2 Milroy Street
Our top recommendation for an evening meal is the Boundary Hotel. The boundary is one of the stand out Bendigo pubs. Great food, great prices and great service and rated on TripAdvisor as the number 5 restaurant in Bendigo.
We send a lot of our guests around to the Boundary. Their feedback is always great.
As you walk out of the Oval Motel, turn left and walk 200m before turning left again. The Old Boundary is at the top of the hill about 300m on the other side of the road (7 min walk).
Bendigo Art Gallery
A pleasant 5 minute walk through Queen Elizabeth Park from Oval Motel will bring you to the Bendigo Art Gallery on View Street rated on TripAdvisor as the number 2 "Things to Do" in Bendigo.
A wonderful collection of paintings and sculptures awaits you in addition to ongoing special exhibitions that are always changing.
Enjoy a coffee, breakfast or lunch at the Art Gallery Cafe before visiting this must see Bendigo attraction.
Afterwards pop across the road to visit one of the many boutique antique and design shops on View Street.
